At sea by Eric Nunnally

Come and sit in my rocking chair
Close your eyes and listen to the candleís flame
Donít suffer the icy kisses of nightfall
Wrap yourself in the warm blanket of my voice

Perch a million miles from hell
Surrounded by the blind ghosts of the lost
Swimming through moonlight
Because the stars have forgotten them

God is not so far away
And weíll get there
In my rocking chair

I am afraid of taking my boat out on the dark water
And my torches seem afraid to know anything
So they lick the air like frightened kittens
While I brave the unknown
Trying not to become a ghost

Nothingness stretches out forever
Waves slap against my awareness
The mist tempts me to relax
But my feet know the water too well

Donít suffer the icy kisses of nightfall
Wrap yourself in the warm blanket of my voice

Close your eyes and listen to the candleís flame
Come and sit in my rocking chair
